Anyone who is a fan of this series will love Rehvenges story, unlike the last installment in the series (Phury's story) this one flows and you get to read about the other Brothers and their Shellan's as well which is always good. Spoiler alert...It was good to see John get out of his 'boyhood' and start to rebel even though by the end you know it wont last and there is a depth to him that will come out in the next book. Xhex came to the fore front as well and a year is a long time to wait to see what happens to her.

Once again JR Ward has delivered a fantastic story. I have read all her books and find her writing just gangsta. Rehvenge, the gangster, as he comes across in previous books can now be shown as he is, a keeper of deadly secrets that are revealed at last. The turmoil with his sympath side is just sad at times and his devotion to his mother and sister. Other characters are revealed more like, Xhex and John-Lassiter the fallen angel and Tohr-Lash, the evil Omegas son and little intros to Payne (she's just wicked). More about Wrath and his journey as the King with Beth and how they face challenging times. The Brotherhood is as always, deadly, devoted and lovable. I loved the story which has the romance but has a genuine storyline that is thrilling, bit hardcore and compelling. Bring on the next book as I can not wait.

I was not sure what to expect with this book. The main character Rehvenge is a pimp, drug dealer and nightclub owner, not one of the 'good' guys.
I should not have had my doubts, J.R. Ward delivered again. You wanted him to get together with 'his' girl. You wanted everything to work out in the end. It did in spades with the usual main character in trouble and the calvary there to save the day.
This is definately a fantastic edition to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Definately a keeper.

I really enjoyed this book. It was better than Lover Enshrined. J R Ward has developed the characters into more realsitic people. Couples are having problems in their relationship that require talking to solve it. I like how she has made John into more of a man now. She has created the happily ever after theme but not like in other romance novels. In fact, in this book, the romance really plays second fiddle to the actual story. There is enough to keep me happy nut not so much that I get sick of it. If all you're after is mainly romance like her first couple of books then you may not be too happy with this one. This book is much more than romance, it's an actual story.

I have to say, I flat out love this series and it just keeps getting better. Books 1 and 3 were and probably still are my favourite, and I did think the 6th book wasn't quite up there, but the plot just keeps on developing. Now it's no longer about one main character, but includes everyone, so we get to see what they are all up too. The whole Lesser thing has dropped off abit which is good and now we have an even more evil force lurking there who clearly has a personal vendetta against the Brotherhood. But this book is about Rhev, who I have to say is just flat out cool. I know some people probably never warmed to him, but I was always a fan and this just proved how cool he was. Was great to see some more of Wrath and Beth too and as always the ending just leaves you begging JR to hurry up and write the next one. Highly recommend this book, but need to read the series in order, so you've got 6 previous books, plus the Insiders Guide to get through first!

This is another excellent read just like all the other books in J.R Ward's series 'The Black Dagger Brotherhood'. It's intense, sophisticated and very raw simultaneously. Ward develops 'thinking' characters who in spite of having supernatural characteristics are totally believable. Her books are never boring, they have everything in them. I can't wait for the next book.

this book was a little disappointing i had trouble connecting with revhenges character but overall a good read with the storyline continueing with the brotherhood and where they are at .

The Seventh book in J.R Ward's brotherhood series doesnt fail to thrill in the slightest. i waited many months for this to arrive on my doorstep and the experience is everything and more of what i expexted. 10 out of 10. i loved it.
