In 2005 Wayne was the recipient of the American Birding Association's Ludlow Griscom Award for outstanding contributions in regional ornithology. Brian E. Small is a full-time professional bird and nature photographer with more than 25 years of experience. He served as the photo editor at Birding Magazine for 15 years. He lives in Los Angeles.
