A beautiful book to look at and very inspiring as well. The sewing instructions are a little tricky for me, as a moderately skilled sewer, but the results so far have been worth persisting with and indeed, my understanding of the book has improved after just one project.
I'm quite happy with this book. The instructions seem well written - although I've yet to put needle and thread together to make something from this book. Lots of lovely ideas and great photos. A recommended addition to any crafter or sewers library.
An excellent book, full of wonderful ideas to make around the house - not just the traditional.
a great present to all persons whom love design and creative options
This is a lovely book has many lovely patterns for your home. Many of the patterns would make lovely gifts. For example placemats and napkins, hanging toiletry bag, cd holder and many many more. The book would also make a great gift for a sewer.
This book has quite a varied lot of projects ranging from a simple (too simple?) drawstring bag to a complex checkbook clutch. I say complex, in the sense that for me it is far too oragnaised. I'd never use all the tiny tidy spaces. And a good number of the projects felt like this. Some I felt would be better in an ideas book rather than an actual pattern/project book, quilts for example. There are some nice detail instructions. I would recommend it if you like fiddly and overly comlicated or so simple as to leave one feeling a little ripped off. One or two projects hit the mark for me- the cat tunnel and cushions. I definitely have mixed feelings about this book.
lovely lovely book, just delightful and I am a huge Amy Butler fan. The projects are delightful and ever so practical, although i was surprised that this book is targeted at the beginner sewer as some projects are quite fidly and technical even for an intermediate sewer. I am happy with my purchase though ;-)
