I love this book, it's another great read from Linda Howard. It describes in detail the guts and determination of a young single woman in a man's world. Dee Swann is so independent and set in her way's. All this changes when Lucas Cochran enters her life. Dee Swann is one determined women and very passionate. The book has a great story with beautiful description of Dee's property, her fierce independance and a very sexually evoked love life! Get this book today you will love it!

I had only read Linda Howards more recent stories up to this tale and was pleasantly surprised by this american historical story. It is not american smaltzy which is refreshing, but has an extemely feminine but capable heroine to make this story intreguing.
