Being an avid fan of Vampires, I was very surprised to see Laurell K. Hamilton has written 15 books in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. This has been one of the best series I have started reading in regards to vampires in a long time. I am looking forward to being able to finish the whole series

I really enjoyed this set, I found these books easy to fall into the stories and found once i'd started I just had to keep going. I read that this series had some steamy romance in which i was dissapointed that they didn't really have any romance until book 4 and it was only a date at that, but i believe it gets steamier in the following books which i will be looking forward to! (im a woman and love abit of romance, sorry)
All 4 worth buying good page turners. I am ordering the following books of the series.

I brought these books as an introduction to Anita Blake (for less than $10 per book) after reading the Sookie Stackhouse series and loved them!
These books are less fanciful than the Stackhouse series. Anita Blake is a strong character that is riddled with prejudice and cynicism towards vampires, but Laurell K Hamilton allows her characters to grow and develop, giving them depth and keeping the series moving, leaving you wanting more. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys Fantasy or Vampire stories.

i liked anita blakes vampire hunter set. it was pretty cool, and very interesting also. i think that this wold be suitable for those who have interests in occult things like this, and also who are interested in tv shows like angel or buffy, as that is what got me interested in this. definitely worth a once-over at least.,

I am totally addicted to these now and this is a really well priced way to kick start the series. If you like sookie stackhouse or twilight this might appeal but Anita is alot more kick arse than the female lads in these books

Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series is pretty fabulous. This set contains the first four novels so is a pretty good deal. Enter the world of a necromancer, vampire-slayer, zombie animator and total smart ass that is Anita. Along with the Vampire Master of the City Jean-Claude and boyfriend Richard Zeeman these books are sure to hook you onto the series. Is definately best if you read these books in order.

This is the perfect way to get aquainted with the Anita Blake series, with the first four books packaged in a box. One quickly gets to know Anita and becomes immersed in her very bloody adventures involving not only vampires, but zombies and werewolves and many other horrifying/fascinating creatures. This is a wild fantasy ride filled with adventure, death, lust, plenty of blood and gore not to mention a sense of humour that is unique. I didn't think I could enjoy a series about such unbelievable creatures and scenarios, but I am hooked and fully intend to read every volume in the series (currently at 18)
