This book is so useful for working out some of the basics for introducing solids to babies. The recipes are great, as it is quite boring mashing the same old foods all the time. Some of the advice around the food is a little different to New Zealand food guidance - particularly around first foods and what foods should be avoided in the first year so it pays to double check some of her advice against NZ sources.

I bought this book when my first son was born. We used the recipes for him and my daughter. I gave it to a friend who used it and loved it... Then I had my third child... I bought the book again. The recipes are so great that we enjoyed some of them too. My kids loved the spinach and cheese macaroni and the prune and apricot desert.
This really is a great book for parents of infants. The meal planner was a helpful guide with my first child but babies are individuals and you can figure out what they need better than a general guide in a book.

This book is a must have for all families with small children. I have been using this book for over 10 years, first as a nanny, and then with my own children. I even bought a copy for my sister when she had her first baby! It has invaluable advice about age-appropriate meals, and also has quite a few ideas for foods I would not have necessarily thought to give the children, and also about introducing herbs and spices.

This would have to be one of the best cookbooks I have ever owned. The recipes are delicious and easy to make and the extra information was a big help. A must buy for any Mum or Dad. The recipes are yummy enough for the whole family to eat even if you have fussy eaters, I know because I do!

I love this book. I really struggled for ideas of what to feed my daughter when she started solids and after a bit of research on the internet I came across this author. Her food is fun, healthy and nutritious. Whilst some of the UK food guidelines for children differ to Australia, on the whole it is fairly similar. I started off using the menu planner, but now I am moving on my daughter to eat what we all eat. Actually, the whole family eats these recipes and love them!

This book is great. When you're tired of trying to think of something new to feed the little ones, especially when they are fussy eaters you can always turn to this book for some idea's or inspiration. Many of these recipes are great for all ages and no one goes hungry. We especially like the chicken and apple balls, yum yum!!!
