I loved this book. Filled with Anne's sweetness and light, it was a truly great book. Reading about Anne making friends was interesting, reading about Anne's boyfriend antics was great, and anne's friends, Phillippa especially, was lovely. Well worth a read, or, in fact, several reads. A sweet book.

this is one of the tamer books in the anne of green gables series- although, i must admit that all of the anne books are rather vanilla, but what a wonderful flavour it is! anne goes to queens at last, and makes lots of new wonderful friends, kindred spirits and her relationship with gilbert blossoms

this heart rending third book of anne adventures sees the heart breaking demise of one of anne's school friends, the beautiful ruby gillis. the exact illness is not mentioned, but from ruby's dramatically shrinking frame i am guessing she died of some form of cancer. still, an excellent third novel, read it

I love this book so much! I love all the Anne books and definitely recommend this book especially if you have read the first! it's lovely and it's a shame the movies haven't stayed closer to the storyline in the books. Montgomery's 3rd novel about Anne is beautiful and closes a chapter of Anne's life while leaving room for much more!

One of the better ones in the series (bar the original). In this one Anne goes off to college to earn her BA. Gilbert proposes and she rejects him. She has many other suitors including her dark, handsome, melancholic college boyfriend. (Relax Morgan was only in the movie version). You just want Anne to do so much in this one, but most of all you want her to end up with Gilbert - especially when he is hanging around the Christine Stewart.

Still not as good as the first book. This is a book where you should only bother picking it up or trying to start it if you are a fan of the others, to start with, otherwise you will find that this book is most definitely tedious and will not be of any interest at all. If you are a hardcore Anne fan, this one is for you.
