When it comes to Middle Eastern cooking, books by Greg & Lucy Malouf are simply world best! And I am not boasting at all. This cookbooks guides you through all the popular ingredients in Middle Eastern cooking with excellent recipes. No photos here, just plain and easy-to-understand text. A purely good cookbook!

It should probably be noted that this is not really a book about Middle Eastern cooking, rather it is a book of recipes showcasing ingredients common in Middle Eastern food. Great for a cook interested in new flavours and food combinations.

The Maloufs' later titles Saha and Turquoise explore more traditional Middle Eastern cookery.
