Interesting and thought provoking read. Though really not to be taken too seriously. Greene looks at personality types and historical seductors to give the reader an interesting if not sometimes disturbing look at seduction, its hows and whys.

Once again Robert Greene distills practices from very succesful people of our history. He goes to explain with great detail of how and why and the way seduction works from nearly every angle.
This book IS NOT JUST A LEISURE BOOK or a story book. We've come a long way for this knowlege (ever since how we envy casanova) and heres someone who did all the hardwork put all his time in and tells you in plain english many examples of great seducers in history and how they operate. It just looks like one because he's just observing his own law of how to make hard work dont seem like hardwork. This book is for both genders.
It is about practical practices that you can use to transform yourself through work and dedication.
This is NOT a PRESS HER BUTTONS to make her bend book. This is NOT a one-time off and settle down and pack everything up once the hunt is done book.(quote "A seducer does not turn the power off and on -every social and personal interaction is seen as a potential sedction") And applied properly you WILL get untold seduction power. you'll be a better lover, husband or spouse, handle situations better or as a person overall.
All for a mere $43.46.
Most of his historic examples are way back but the core principals still apply in society(the game is the same), I say this through experience applied.
For more recent times read The game by Neil strauss. But you'll soon see that it has same methods in different chapters (in The game: select target, isolate target, blast last minute resistance.. In Art of Seduction:Choose the right victim, Isolate the victim, master the art of bold move)
One word of warning is you should be a little flexible to shift perspective while reading this book, it is not your everyday idealistic phylosophy and it can get what some call it disturbing and immoral.
Do not buy if you cannot shift perspective
Do not buy if you think this is a magic book that makes him/her fall at your feet instantly
Do not buy if you think this is a cheap trick
Do not buy if you think this book is blasphemy
Do not buy if you don't believe in Seducing people.
If you do, it only shows the true depth of your facination of the art. Plus you dont want your $40 sitting on the shelf doing nothing.
And a final word from his first book;
"The Gods of power frown on the frivolous; they give ultimate satisfaction only to tho who study and reflect, and punish those who skim the surface looking for a good time" -Robert Greene, The 48 Laws of Power
