– Customer review on 11/01/2007 This book has been a huge help to me in getting to grips with the details of spanish grammar. I had got the basic principles from a CD set which I had initially learned spanish from, but felt I needed more practice. This aptly named book ("practice makes perfect") was exactly what I needed offering pages and pages of practice sentences after describing the theory behind the tense in a clearly laid out structure. However, I did find it all quite traditional, and was glad I had had the original theory of grammar from my CD ( a slightly more user-friendly approach) as I find the approach in this (and I assume other traditional approach grammar books) to be quite overwhelming in the beginning. The way they lay out each grammatical variation for a tense, rather than unifying it under a simple theory can make things appear more complicated than they really are.
However as a tool for consolidating learning that you have got from elsewhere I think it is fantastic.
