A great book which follows on from Volume 1! Every page is a single tip, simply explained (almost conversation style) and illustrated. This is a book on which button to push, which setting to use, and when to use it, without all the extra jargon. With nearly 200 more of the most closely guarded photographic "tricks of the trade" this book gets you shooting dramatically better-looking, sharper, more colorful, more professionally-looking photos every time"
It's inspirational! Kelby is brilliant at what he does! Keep it with you in your camera bag!
I found this book to be easy to read with not to much tech stuff. So I could pick a subject do a bit of reading, just grab my camera, go out, set up & play, was just too easy.
After the first edition i was not surprised that this book was brilliant .
Plain english with just the right amount of jargon, a must for any photographer getting into digital photography.
I was so impressed with book one i purchased a copy for the local library and will do the same for book two.
It's a must have and must read. top marks
Excellent book, and a good addition to the first volume. Scott Kelby has a slightly odd sense of humour, and than can get a little tedious, but he indicates that he wants the book to come across quite casually. As he mentions it's like you are on a shoot with him and ask "How do I do that?"
A good addition to the amateur photographers library
Another great book from Scott Kelby! I have both Book 1 and 2 and have found this extremely helpful in my burgeoning hobby. Everything is explained in an easy to understand and witty style. In fact he does such a great job that I will get the next book when it comes out. Well worth the buy.
Being very new to photography I found this book (and Vol. 1) to be extremely valuable. It has changed my photos from being very 'ho-hum' to wonderful images that I can be proud of.
I can recommend it 110%!
If there's any expert photographic "how to" book worth buying for that immediate answer on hundreds of different scenarios then this is it.Together with the complimentary volume by the same author they make an invaluable companion for any level of photographer from beginner to expert (experts can look for alternative ways of doing things).
The Digital Photography Book:v.2 (Digital Photography) is a great follow on from Scott Kelby's Digital Phtography Book:v.1
What we really enjoy about these books is the simplicity in Scott Kelby's suggestions and the how and why of digital photography. We didn't get bogged down in any professional hoodoo voodoo!
These books are also written with a certain degree of humour which enables to reader to relate easily with the subject matter.
Well worth adding to any library of photography manuals.
Full of very useful ideas and tips, well laid out and supported by example photographs. Lots of tips for specific situations without all of the technical background to wade through. The only slight drawback is the very lame humour that pervades the whole book. But still very helpful and interesting. Recommended for all amateur photographers.
