Gaul was divided into three parts. No, four parts - for one small village of indomitable Gauls still held out against the Roman invaders. BOOK 3 Again Getafix is kidnapped, this time by a raiding band of Goths. Asterix and Obelix follow them into Germania and, in the process of rescuing their druid, set off a whole series of tribal wars.

Reviews

4 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 23/08/2008

One of the best in the series, this comic includes the tangled web of the breif Gothic, (or, as we are corrected- Asterixian,) wars that took place in Germany some time ago. If this version is to be beleived, it was entirely the fault of the Gauls, Asterix, Obelix and Getafix. As a matter of fact one of my favourite parts about this series is the names and The Goths definately doesn't disappoint.

5 of 5 Stars! – Customer review on 23/01/2008

One of my favourites, as Asterix and Obelix take on the Goths who have kidnapped Getafix. Lots of verbal fun with names in this story as well as a little bit of Germany history as well. The page long explanation of the Gothic wars is one of the funniest pages in any Asterix adventure - it always makes me laugh. An outstanding Asterix story.
