This is an absolute amazing book for beginners. The author will guide you through each step and the book contains very detailed photos in excellent quality which I found very helpful. The book will teach you how to work the wire, which tools to use, how to work with the jewelry pliers, how to clean the wire, how to make spirals, twisted wire jump rings and all sorts of wraps, links and clasps among other things. Part of the book is a very interesting chapter about artificially aging jewelry. Additionally to the step-by-step guides the book contains beautiful projects to try out everything you just learned in the first half of the book.
I have a few other books from the publisher 'North Light Books' about beading and I can say that those books are throughout high quality regarding photos and content. Highly recommended.

I am a jewellery artist by trade, and this is one of the best jewellery-making books I have come across. It is full of technical tips and information that most jewellery books don't have - perhaps because they try to cover so much that there is not room for details. 'Bead On A Wire' deals with one topic and deals with it well, being comprehensive enough for professionals but not too technical for beginners. Simple but thorough - excellent. I have ordered a copy so that I can keep it permanently on hand!
The projects are beautiful and artistic, but can be toned down or 'amp'd up' depending on your style. After reading through this book, I felt both inspired AND informed - usually after reading a jewellery-making book it's one or the other. Five stars!

This book is fantastic for the beginner, and gives a clear step by step guide for all the techniques covered with lots of photos for guidance. Highly recommended.
