This cd has been really useful with my kids who have been struggling with anxiety at bedtime. These three magical stories are suitable for five year olds and older but a younger child will also benefit by the general relaxed atmosphere this cd brings into their bedroom. The speaker's voice is relaxing and lovely, she inspires a happy calm state. The cd is short and it would be great if there were two or three more meditations on the cd. I would recommend this both as a mother and psychotherapist.

I would rather have my children listen to music or guided imagery at bedtime instead of stories so I give this cd 3 stars because listening to the same stories over and over is not relaxing to my children, instead it irritates them. It was played several times before bed and then they just got sick of hearing it. Now it sits and collects dust

My youngest has always been difficult to get to sleep - he seems to have lots of trouble winding down and this CD has been very helpful. He shares a room with his big brother, and the older one falls alseep before the 1st track has finished! There are 3 tracks with 3 different 'journeys' to go on: By the sea; An Adventure in Space and Snowflake. It's very mellow and soothing. Christiane Kerr is English so she does speak about snuggling down in bed and getting cosy which at the moment,seems odd since it's summer and the boys are kicking off all the bedding & requesting a fan in the room because it's so hot! Nevertheless her soothing voice has the desired effect and we don't seem to have the up and down yo-yo of a son that we used to.
