This is the most accurate story on anorexia nervosa i have read. Even though this one is fictional its quite an old story all the modern novels on anorexia nervosa they don't seem realistic but this one is. It has chapters on thoughts, health and safety and what she went through as in having a nasal gastric tube inserted which is what actually happens now as well except we don't get it in our throat where as in those days that was the only place they could insert it. If you want a really good book on anorexia nervosa this is one for you.

This is a novel about an anorexic girl, it's clearly written in a way to make a point about anorexia and to help people understand it, and the author isn't exactly subtle about getting across how that's the purpose of the book. It's quite an enjoyable read though, not one of the most well-written or plotted books I've come across but I still remember enjoying it enough when I read it. Never desired to re-read it though.
