Beyond the Highland Mist is a riveting tale revolving around a 21st century woman kidnapped back to into the past by meddling fairies for revenge on Hawk, a legend in his own time. Both Adrienne and Hawk are tormented by past actions and the machinations of powers greater than their own (Adrienne by a manipulative and murderous ex-boyfriend, Hawk with the period of his life spent serving a spiteful king). Both are distrustful of the other and, with their first meeting based in confusion and misunderstandings, neither Adrienne nor Hawk are prepared for their reactions to each other. A very powerful tale, well worth reading!

Hehehehe I loved this book and came to love the series. Until recently I have been a closet romance reader and have especially kept hidden my adoration for paranormal romance. But I have to say that these Scottish men are mighty fine in this book.
Despite the paranormal aspect of the books the characters are wonderfully deep and well developed. The women especially are not your typical romance novel heroine or damsel but rather logical and intelligent as well as passionate. The storyline also develops logically and keeps you wanting to read more.
A must read for any paranormal romance reader.

hhmmm... this is the first time im reading a supernatural historical romance novel. Romance, magic and time travel... feel abit silly reading the likes of this. But i have to credit the author, she knows how to draw the reader into her world of magic and fantasy. If you like the supernaturals, i guess you would find this author amusing.

This is one of my favourite stories from Moning. Her witty dialogue, dashing & brooding main man and completely charming heroine, makes this book well worth reading.
The highlander stories always keep me coming back for more. Karen Moning creates a magical story that will keep you spellbound for hours. Well worth the read.

You just got to love this Highlander Hottie and I like the female lead - great sexual tension between the two main characters and Oh I do so like the best friend and even bad-boy Adam Black. Great story telling, love the detail, the mix between time-travel, history and fantasy. I love reading good books, only problem is not being able to put it down when their children and a husband waiting to be fed!! Definitely part of my collection to keep and reread.

This was the first Karen Marie Moning book I've read and I could not wait to get my hands on the next one!!! Karen Marie Moning is a fantastic writer and I highly recommend her books. Set in Scotland in 1513, this book has a bit of everything for every reader. The heroine guards her heart from beautiful men who have only caused her pain in the past....but her beauty only draws in those beautiful, deceitful men and our hero - Hawk - wants her for his own, all of her....can he break her stubborn walls of hate and get her to love him???
A magnificent story I highly recommend!!!!

What happens if you're an irristable highland lord and you piss off a fairy prince? The answer, said prince finds the one beautiful woman able to resist you. And that, as they say, is how the throughly modern, outspoken and independent heroine ended up in medieval Scotland to give us a story which is laugh-out-loud funny, sensual and simply impossible to put down. It will leave you begging for more and I can gaurantee that it will make a place for itself on you keeper shelf.
