This book is soo good!! I'm not a big reader, but when i started reading this.. I could not put it down. I couldn't believe it!! After reading this book it is very understandable why he is a bit -err- different.
The long Hard Road Out of Hell explores into his childhood and the formation of his band. I really enjoyed hearing what he had to say, i found it very interesting. I would definatly reccomend this book to any Marilyn Manson fan. You don't have to be a Marilyn Manson fan to enjoy this book though, everyone knows him but always critize him. I wish those people would read this first.
This is the first book I had read that was written or co-written by Neil Strauss, and it got me hooked. This book is a very interesting read about the life of a very unique and unusual man. Many parts of it are somewhat disturbing, but overall it is a great read which you cannot put down. Several of my friends have read it after me and discovered the same thing
Manson is a sicko, and having read the autobiography I now know why. Brought up in an oppressively religious envirioment, he soon decides religion (orthodox religion anyway) is not for him, and starts down the road to satanism, nihilism and lots of other isms.
Oddly, Manson found his grandfather's sex toys and pornography in the basement and was revolted by them. Yet his later life was was dominated by sex, and the more deviant the better.
I'm not really a huge fan of his music, but found this book an incredible read. Shocking, titillating, disgusting; all at the same time. You;ve gotta have it.
this is one of the best books i have ever read, as others have said it covers manson’s life from childhood right through to just after the release of his second album. This books discusses his struggles with drugs alcohol and many other elements thst held him back in his early career
An excellent read that covers Marilyn Manson's life from childhood up to the release of Antichrist Superstar. Even if you're not a fan of his music or the man himself, you cannot deny that this story is one of a lifetime of struggle to rise above those determined to hold him back. Comes with several coloured glossy photos in the center, this book makes for one interesting read.
Yeha this book is pretty book. Its no very large but coversaalot from his early years and lots of detail around the anti christ super stvr era.I got confused as to where this book was going half way through but its still great. Funny things also like how family societys tried to get him banned.
this is one of the best and most engrossing books i have ever read. it is obviously about marilyn manson, one of the best rock/metal performers ever. from his childhood to what we know today, all is included in the book. tales of his first time doing drugs, meeting with the black pope(anton szander la vey, the founder of satanism), and strange things that hav happened to him are all fantastic. great read
This is the most enthralling book I have ever read, manson tell his whole life story from his tormented and troubled childhood and adolescence to his frighteningly amazing career as the king of modern shock rock. There are photos from his childhood and of his family in here too. Over all this book is a must for any manson fan, you wont be able to put it down.

I found the way his Christian up bringing turned him against the religion so he became a Satanist.
I never read very much but this book I could not put down. Brian Warner and Marilyn Manson are two completely different people, as this book tells. Great for any heavy metal rockers out there.
