I'd love to write a reveiw, if only i could read the book ....after nearly 2 months still waiting...Anne

Judith Lucy goes through the alphabet, eg A is for Adoption to recount her life so far. However, many letters get more than one chapter. And if there is a criticism of this book , it is that sometimes you want Lucy to develop an issue but she swaps to something less intense, such as Neil Diamond, just as you feel she is really reflecting on something.

If you have heard Lucy on stage or the radio you will know her distinctive voice - and it comes through in the book, swear words included. She clearly had much material for her comedy routines from her peculiar family, eg the family were only allowed to have a bath once a week although they have a functioning shower but when the young Judith had friends over, her mother would talk about the wonderful shower she just had, clearly thinking this is what other families did.

abit wierd for me, i like unique writing but this book was unlike anything i have ever read and im still trying to figure out if thats a good thing or a bad thing but this author does have character!
