About the Author

Leo Docherty was born in Scotland and studied Swahili and Hindi at university. He was commissioned into the Scots Guards in 2001, serving operationally in London, Germany and Iraq, before being deployed to the volatile Helmand Province of Afghanistan. He left the Army in December 2006.
