To Save One

This is the true, emotional story of Trudy and her siblings, who live in a home filled with sexual, mental, and physical abuse. Trudyas biological father constantly molests and tortures his children so much that the children think this is a normal way of life. The family is on welfare and other children in school constantly mock and ridicule these five children. When Trudy finally realizes that other families are not like hers, she goes into a deep depression. She contemplates suicide many times in her life. Trudy finally turns in her father to the authorities, and her siblings must now learn how to survive on their own at very young ages. Trudy must overcome the guilt she feels when her mother loses their home, along with the guilt she feels because her siblings are growing up too fast in the streets of New York City.
