After reading this, I feel like these poems are like old friends, each with wonderful qualities. Blake was truly a visionary and these poems are beautiful. From 'Songs of Innocence' to 'Songs of Experience', this publication shows the progression of Blake throughout his life. Largely a social commentary, disgusted by the treatment of the lower class by the rest of society and his hatred of the industrial revolution in Britain, his poems are strong and bold. Others such as 'the sick rose' and 'daughters of Albion' explore the bounds of love and sexuality.
Blake is amazing and everyone could learn something from this book.
