The Toronto man’s jovial tone, which endures throughout his debut book, can take some getting used to — not least for those of us prone to cynicism. But the effort to surrender to your inner optimist is well worth it, with each new page bringing a new reason to be happy that you got out of bed that morning…. Anyone who buys The Book of Awesome will be glad he shared them.
