An excellent introduction.

Gives a basic history, some examples, and then moves into techniques and hints. You'll need to practice these, and the projects mean you have plenty of opportunity - but even so, don't neglect simply making up a page of example rolls! You'll be grateful later, and the garden design (and variations thereof) is a good way to use up 'extra' pieces.
