About the Author
Helene Young lives on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland. She is a Check and Training Captain with a major regional airline - a job that takes her all over the east coast of Australia. This is her first published novel but she has written all her life. Border Watch is the beginning of a loosely linked, three-book series about a strong, credible woman working in surveillance operations in Australia.
I love an Australian based story and this one is fantastic. Set in the Top End of Nth Qld, you don't have to of been there personally to be swept away by the evocative descriptions of the landscape and its people. It's also a contemporary story of those people who protect our borders and just how easy it could be for Australia to be touched by a real terrorist attack as we have seen in other parts of the world. And there is romance and tears as well. Un-put-downable read.
