definitely not the best of the series so far...felt like there was a big chunk missing...had less sympathy for the female lead in this one...found her a bit two dimensional..and probably not good enough for the sainted "embryo", but to each his own
...it was fun and sexy and everything else you expect...had me laughing out loud at some of the wise cracks...and crying at other parts...Sherrilyn rearly knows how to work the emotional buttons for her audience...
It's good to have a happy ending...that's part of the escapism and fantasy drawcard...who wants more depressing and miserable betrayal and insincerity from the characters in a book...we get enough of that everynight on the news...

This author never fails to amaze me. While I found this style of writing a little bit tricky to follow at the beginning of her series, I soon got into the swing of it and really enjoyed it. Hopes she writes more.

Loved this book as much as the series. Wish there was more!!!
If you love Sherrilyn Kenyon and the Dark Hunter Series you will enjoy this series, Born of Night, Born of Fire and Born of Ice.
Even if you arent into Science Fiction (like i'm not), you will still enjoy these books, i guarantee it!

ot as good as the Dark Hunter Series: character names are convoluted, as though Kenyon is trying to hard to remind us this book is Sci Fi, like we get it already. What's wrong with simple names like 'Syn'. The mind has to do mental gymnastics with those names. The two main characters over think their relationship and feelings and Kenyon ends up being quite repetitive. However, the world Kenyon created is very interesting and makes it worthwhile, the Sentella (the good guys) team are definitely more interesting than Nykyrian turned out to be, the final outcome was fast, patchy and too convenient

Dare I say it but this seemed like a lesser version of the Dark Hunter series. There are lots of similarities that kept cropping up. I'm more interested in the stories of Jayne, Syn, Darling and Hauk
