A most disappointing end to a wonderful series. In an effort to reach that happily ever after Meyer has sacrificed all of the delicious Gothic overtones that made the first three books such a wonderful read. Not even Disney could come up with such a saccharine empty ending. Bella is faced with a mountain of difficult decisions and gets an easy answer to everyone. She makes no sacrifice, nothing to deserve the vanilla happiness she achieves. The most disappointing aspect for me was the way that Jacob's character was gutted of all fire and energy. Relegated as a mere lap dog, when previously he'd represented such passionate humanity.
Awful. And I'm sad to say it.

This is the best book out of all four. It has the Romance, Conflict and Drama all in one book. Edward and Bella are finally happy when everything goes wrong. Sounds a lot like Home and Away to me, Drama's around every corner. But if you try to get through the first book this series is quite addictive. I read all four books over the span of two days.
It is defiantly based for Teenagers.
I have heard that 'The Host' is more aimed for Adults and is a Alien/Romance Book, next one on my list.
Also, I have read these books four times and it doesn't get boring. Money well spent.

This was SUCH a disappointing end to the series. In fact if I could have a do over I would've stopped reading after the first book. There was definitely a gradual drop in the quality of Meyer's work. This book was so incredibly jarring, she managed to betray all of her characters.
No body grew, Bella was more whiney than ever and Edward became so 2 dimensional I was struggling to remember what I ever liked about him.
I think the line, "he was both dazzling and dazzled." sums up the quality of this book. I was looking forward to a wonderful conclusion to this world, something that my imagination could dwell in, this book definitely concluded the world for me but to the point that I couldn't wait for it to be over.
This book is like a 2 edged sword, you can't not read it because it's Twilight and you need to know what happens, but the reading leaves a terrible taste in your mouth.

A lot of people didn't like the final instalment of the series, i personally loved it. Everyone should lay off Stephenie Meyer, with out her the series would not exist. Some were bound to disagree with her ideas but i'ts her world like it or not the books are all amazing. Buy this book and decide for your self.

This was an excellent book. I think Meyer did a great job putting all the pieces together. I think when Jacob finally imprints it helps tie it all together even more. Ms. Meyer makes the reader become attached to the characters. I am sorry this is the last one.

The Twilight Saga was a wonderful read and I have to admit that I especially enjoy 'happy ever after' endings ... although ... I note that the author has left an opening for the next generation of teenage angst.
Unfortunately, I wasn't very good company for my partner and our grandson because my nose was in a book for two solid weeks until I had finished the four books.
In recommending these books, I have to say that they are suitable for the young adult audience that they're aimed at because, although it is alluded to, there is no explicit sexual content.
I look forward to the movies but I encourage everyone to read the books first in order to fully understand and appreciate the screenplay.

I loved this book as much as the others. Having read the series more than once, each time I read it I find something else that I didn't see before. Happy for my teenage daughter to read it as the feelings that Edward and Bella have for each other are beautiful and they actually wait to be married before they act upon them so there's a novel idea! It's a fantasy book so I think it really doesn't matter how far out it gets; it is a vampire love story after all. If you love Edward and Bella it's a must read. Can't wait to see what more will come.

Highly dissapointed with the end of this series. Enjoyed the first few chapters then found it difficult to get through the rest of the book. Loved the other books in the series. Sorry but Meyers really rushed this one and could have done it so much better!

This is definitely the BEST book in the Twilight Series... If you don't buy it, you are seriously insane.
But, If you LOVE the Twilight series, you will adore this book. It is a really good finale to the series.
