I read this book for a school assignment when I was 12. I had to stay up all night just to finish it. I could not put it down! It made me cry and it made me laugh but above all it makes you appreciate all of your friends and class mates. I am now 30 and can still remember the story line of this book. It definately stays in your heart forever. I don't think I am going to watch the movie because I want to remember the story as I read it.

My sister gave me this book for my 12th birthday and it is one I have kept close to my heart for many years. It is a beautiful story of love and loss even in a child's world. It now rests in my 9 year old son's bookshelf awaiting the day for him to read it.He already has a keen interest in the books I read as a child, and I look forward to discussing this wonderful story for years to come with all my children.A beautifully written book and I'm sure the movie is good but in my opinion no movie can ever quite capture the true essence of a good book.A MUST READ!

If u heard of this book or rather the film you will think its for kids but ur mistaken. Bridge to Terabithia is a remarkable pice of work. While I was reading this I was crying when Leslie, the girl died. Jess and Leslie made this whole new world using their imagination and art. Terabithia is the place wer they go after school to hide from the real world. Everyone should watch the movie or read the book, it will touch u.

I love Katharine Pattersons writing, both this and Jacob have I Loved. Fanatstic story line, and I believe the movie is very true to the book. Katharine wrote this story for her son, and it has become loved worldwide. Search out this book and read it, it is sure to become a keeper in your house too.

Two children, seen as outcasts by their peers, imagine a world in which their foes are those who taunt them in real life. Together, they alter their imaginary world by changes made in the real world. Ultimately, the real world sets in and the imagination is handed down. i think this is a verry beautiful movie

I first read this book when I was 13 and it has stuck with me ever since. I even bought this book for my younger sister when she turned 13 and she in turn loved it as well and her copy has now passed on to her son.
This book moved me now in my late 30's as it did when I was 13. As I read I found myself crying before I even realised it. The story is sad but so beautifully written when Jess realises the gift that Leslie has given him and that he has the strength to be the person he wants to be and that he can be.
A must for any parent who wants to get their child addicted to reading!!!

Bridge To Terabithia is a heart warming story that I am sure to read again. This story actually seemed very boring at the beginning but as I got into the book and realised what they were saying and what it meant it turned from a boring book to a fantastic book. The ending is so sad though, i never saw it coming!!

I read this book when I was 11 and a half, and didn't think much of it...but it stayed in my head and I thought about it a lot, then about a year later I realised how beautiful it was and it made me cry. It's a very personal work, the author wrote this in response to the sudden death of her 8-year-old son's best friend. I hope the adaptation does it justice.
