This story i found was so moving and so hard to put down. it is set during the great hunger in ireland Bridie is an amazing strong willed girl with a loving family. after here families crop die after thinking they had been spared and bridies father die's Bridie her mother brother (braden) and Sister (Paddy) leave there home in search of help.
