"The contemporary classic . . . perfect for sharing with a group of preschoolers." --"The Horn Book Guide"
This paperback version is still a good book to have, but please be advised that instead of a teacher on the third to last page its a gorilla (????) So be prepared that it is a little different from the well-loved hardcover version, my kids were a little confused. But a much cherished book anyway.
My 20 month old son loves this book. He always asks for "more" when I've read it through. We often read it four times in one sitting. He enjoys making the animal noises as I read through the book. I believe the book with be helpful in teaching him colours.
I had no idea that such a simple tale would entertain my toddler as it has. A great introduction to various animals and colours presented in an unexpected manner. My little boy requests to read this tale repeatedly delighting in his own recognition of the animals and their rainbow colours. Recommended.
