Jamie studied art, but it was just an excuse to practice drawing animals with googly eyes. He drew lots of comics and eventually started doing actual books. His favorite things to draw are cats, skulls, pigs, and cakes (these are also his favorite things in life). His least favorite things to draw are cars, soccer cleats, horses, and bats (these are also his least favorite things in life. Except horses. And bats). Jamie lives in Kent, England. Praise for Bunny vs. Monkey: "Milk-snortingly funny . . . an irreverent, over-the-top comic series debut." --Shelf Awareness"Graphic novel gold . . . The illustrations are bold, with nary a speck of unused or wasted page. The start of a new series, this is ideal for elementary-age readers and a must-own series for any graphic novel collection." --School Library Journal"Action-filled panels deliver a nearly ceasless barrage of high jinks, cuteness, and giggle-worthy sight gags; it all has an easy feel. similar to network cartoons. Recommend this to fans of James Kolchalka's quirky brand of humor. More fun--and silliness--than a barrel of monkeys." --Kirkus Reviews"Smart's brand of humor is very much like that of Dav Pilkey's blockbuster Captain Underpants series . . . Kids will get a real kick out of the cute, big-headed cartoon creatures; colorful, action-packed scenes; and madcap, slapstick antics." --Booklist"Smart keeps the laughs coming in this compilation of comics . . . a lot to enjoy in this collection." --Publishers Weekly"There's a host of adjectives that could be used to describe Jamie Smart's style: cute, smart, simple, complex, perfect, detailed, outrageous, silly, wonderful. Jamie Smart is a genius! Highest possible recommendation." --Scifi Pulse (online)
