This Mother and Daughter writing team have created a believable world with characters that you can't let go of. Burned is the 7th book in the House of Night series. It is in the same format as Tempted in that the point of view changes with each chapter, which I really like, it keeps the series interesting. This refreshing storyline is filled with teenage angst, supernatural thrills, true friendship, romance and a twist of the unexpected. Burned is exciting and had me ripping through the pages. I loved every one of these books, they are exciting and completely addictive! Awakened [book 8] will be released in January - I will be preordering my copy.

I loved that this book was a little different from the others in the way that it gave more of the other's views and not just Zoey's. Also had a few very good twists and loved the whole Dark verses Light they had going. Can't wait till the next one.

Burned, was a book that I was looking forward to so much, as it was a missing link to many questions, and that was great!! I love Zoey and how her friends get together to fight through evil. And I absolutely adore the Goddess Nyx and how Zoey uses her cherokee heritage to get through many issues that she faces.
But what bothered me was, it took a little too long to get to the point. What was to be anticipate, literally didn't happen til the second last to last chapters.
But even by saying that, I can absolutely say, that I love 'The house of night series,' and it is definitely a favourite, beside the point that I made above, they are incredible, interesting, take you to the distant lands of imagination and they keep you waiting for more and I definitely cant wait til Awakened is released. I am very interest to see if we get to learn more about Stark, and his Guardian role and his heritage and Gaelic legends which Burned had only brushed upon.
