– Customer review on 08/04/2008 For anyone interested in economics, or for a undergrad student who woud like to liven up their economics course, The Worldly Philosophers puts the history of economics and its most prolific thinkers into (believe it or not) an exciting and highly readable book. From the famous worldly philosophers such as Adam Smith and David Ricardo, to the lesser known but equally interesting (if not more so) Robert Owen et al, this books explains the ideas and the times of the people who have made economics (and the world in which we live) what it is today.
This book is a classic. Do not think that because it was written about 50 years ago that it will be hard to read and boredomtown, this book could have been written today and will provide an insight into some great people and also explain how the world has become what it has become.
