– Customer review on 25/03/2006 This book covers 4 broad areas of The Individual, The Firm, The National Economy and The International Economy. This book is based upon the Bristish GCSE syllabus, and some terms used are foreign to New Zealand. Terms such as "extension and contration of demand and supply" referring to the increase or decrease in quantity demanded or supplied does not make sense in New Zealand.
Each double page in this book includes "Study Points", some questions to answer to help with the understanding of the content before it is learnt, and "Check Points" to reinforce what was learnt. There is "Coursework Suggestion" to further increase understanding of concepts. "Key Terms" are outlined and defined at the bottom of the page. Notes on economic concepts are explained with examples and are displayed with various methods, including bullet point lists, graphs, flowcharts, and other graphical representations.
Exam-like data response questions are after each section for practice.
This "new edition" (which is described at the back of the book) is not new at all, but is essential in the revision of economics.
