Imagine a workplace where everyone chooses to bring energy, passion and a positive attitude to the job every day. In this parable, a fictional manager has the responsibility of turning a chronically unenthusiastic and unhelpful department into an effective team. Seattle's Pike Place Fish is a world famous market that is wildly successful thanks to its fun, bustling, joyful atmosphere and great customer service. By applying ingeniously simple lessons learned from the Pike Place, our manager discovers how to energise and transform her workplace. Addressing the 21st century's most pressing work issues with an engaging metaphor and an appealing message, "Fish!" offers wisdom that is easy to grasp, instantly applicable, and profound. Reviews 'This is one fish story that doesn't exaggerate. It shows you how changing your attitude lets you enjoy your work and your life. Hook into it, it's quite a catch!' - Spencer Johnson, author of Who Moved My Cheese? 'I recommend their book to anyone, on any level, who wants to make a difference at work.' - Hyrum Smith, co-chairman Franklin Covey Co. 'The story of the world famous Pike Place Fish market is fantastic. But this book is not just about selling fish; it's a love story that can happen in your organisation too.' - Ken Blanchard, from the Foreword About the Author Stephen Lundin is a filmmaker and professional speaker. Harry Paul is senior vice president with The Ken Blanchard Companies. John Christensen produces corporate learning films, including the Fish! video |

Fish! is a book that all managers should give to their employees who don't seem happy in their work or do mundane tasks. The book shows the reader that they choose their attitude to their work and can set about to make the workplace as fun as they want.
It is a short, easy read that would only take a couple of hours. Not too much to ask anyone to read.
Great for keeping employees and therefore employers happy.

I was on a real low at work and this book really made my spirits lift up and feel good about going to work again on Monday. The fish philosophy is really simple and logical - you choose the way you feel towards your work/workplace. And this is based on a real fish market and how the employees decided to make work fun, even though work is tough, dirty, sloppy and boring. I would definitely recommend you managers out there to give this book to new staff in your orgranisation to get them into the FISH! philosophy!

This should be a must read for any organisation, who want to motivate their staff and create a happy and contented workplace. The story is very entertaining, and a quick read. It is very motivational story and after reading it, you'll want to put the FISH priciples in place in your office and workplace. Well worth a read!

This is the best motivational book I have read. It can be read in a hour or two, but that doesn't make the message any less powerful. All managers should read this book, then pass it on to their employees. No-one likes to work in a toxic workplace, and this deceptively simple story can help!

Short, simple and easy to read, this book is a piece of cake. The 'findings' in Fish! can be applied to your job no matter what it is, and it can also apply to your life. Ever heard of the KISS principle? Well, the author of this book must of because this book is effectively 'keeping it simple stupid'.
