I like the idea behind this book- I am a "feel good", intuitive manager...some of the ideas here are great, but the tone is a little American cheesey for me at times. However, the book, and the ideas it gives, could be a great tool for corporate and large business managers as well as small business owners. I did enjoy this book, but I was expect more text, rahter than examples. I think that the importance of care, and managing with the heart as well as the head, need to be emphasised more frequently than they are- so this book is, at least, a gesture in that direction- a good introduction

There are some really good ideas in this litle book! I wanted to find some new ways of making my staff feel appreciated, without it taking up heaps of time and money - and here they are. Reading through some of the ideas would spark something new for me too and so I have found this to be quite helpful. Now and again it becomes very American - you know, kind of cloying and over the top, but if you look past that and have a bit of imagination and adapt to our more prosaic and down to earth life style, the ideas are workable.
