Dr. Kyle Smith (D.O., Ph.D., F.A.C.P.) is the Medical Director of Vascular Access Center Southwest Louisiana, Lafayette and a Staff Physician at the Vascular Access Centers of New Orleans, LA, North Shore, LA. and Houston, TX. He is a Consulting Physician at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and LTAC of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. He was a partner with the Dallas Nephrology Associates before taking on his current duties. Smith also was an Emergency Room Staff Physician for 7 years before specializing in Nephrology (Kidney Function). His first bookER Confessional was a witty and poignant look at patients in the ER and his experiences during those years. His new release Call Nights is one doctor's journey through residency, fellowship, and private practice, along with a tribute to the Mentor that helped him become a better doctor and a better human being. He grew up in Dallas, TX, is the father of four children and enjoys hunting and fishing on his days off.
