Cloud argues that we have deficits in four areas:bonding with others, seperating from others, sorting out issues of good and bad, and taking charge as an adult. It's to these issues he speaks as he guides the reader to understand his past so that he can make more appropriate decisions for his future.
I have this book on my bookshelf, and because of the depth of the issues discussed, have had to read and re-read it.Perhaps they could have simplified the contents a little for those not so familiar with the Bible or with psychological theory.Nevertheless, persistence wi8th grappling with the contents presented is its own reward.
