– Customer review on 28/08/2007 Charlie Higson's Double Or Die - the title was decided upon by fans - is the third in his Young Bond series and while it doesn't quite reach the heights of the brilliant Blood Fever, it continues the evolution of the boy who will become Bond. Set entirely in and around 1930s London, Higson makes excellent use of some fascinating locations as James searches for a kidnapped professor. As James, Da Vinci Code-style, follows a series of cryptic clues all over the city, he faces ruthless Russian spies, endures a dizzying alcoholic torture and a thrilling ride in an underground pneumatic railway. Echoing the structure of Ian Fleming's third 007 novel, Moonraker, Double Or Die is a must read for James Bond fans.
