As the success of the original Fighting Fantasy gamebooks became apparent, Steve Jackson put out his own four book series "Sorcery" in which, as the series' title suggests, allows you to use spells as well - if you want to. Or you can be a warrior. This first book is an excellent beginning to the series as you trek through the hills. Very entertaining, the beginning of a great little series.
