Beaucoup board game beasties.

A silly kid's adventure after a game that is brought home gets a bit more real than virtual, and it isn't even your computer game Tron type deal. A basic board game as magical artifact and transport to adventure and danger, etc. Not really that interesting, but bearable enough for that sort of thing.

Alone at home and bored, Judy and Peter decide to go to the park across the street to play. There at the foot of a tree they find a long, thin box that contains a jungle game called Jumanji. Taking the game home, they make a horrible discovery - everything that happens in the game also happens in real life. Wild animals invade thier home, monsoon rains fall in the living room, and a volcano pours lava through the fireplace! Each roll of the dice brings a new danger, until at last Judy lands in the city of Jumanji and the game ends. Then the dangers fade away, and the children quickly take the game back to the park. When their parents return home with guests, the chilren say little about what happened. But as they look out the window, they see the sons of a guiest running through the park - and one of the boys had a long, thin box under his arm! Very exciting read!!
