This is just the most wonderful rhyming children's story book ever, that will have the little story running through your head for the rest of the day. Well written, with wonderful pacing, this story is sure to please even the fussiest of kids.

Every child should own this book. Having 4 children I feel I have read this book a million times over, but the children's delight on hearing it and the thrill on finding the bear is remains. The illustrations are fantastic. But be warned it is not a book to take on lightly you will have to read it again and again and again and .............

Brilliant. One of the few childhood books that still sticks out in my memory. A must read for children. Probably best advised to not actually take the kids bear hunting though.

This is one of the best books to read to a small child. The simple tale told in repetitive phrases that children love keeps them coming back to it time and time again. They will "read" along with you, and the large print makes it easier for them to recognize the words as you read them. A lovley book, one to treasure.

Most people know the story of "We're going on a bear hunt". About the family who go hiking to find a bear and eventually find the bear before running home again. It is a great story for the children and when you make actions up for them to do with the story it can be a fun activity too. The book has some colourful pages and some black and white pages. The children especially love it when they family run home quickly again. This is a great book for all young children.

One of the best chidren's books around - suitable for all ages from early toddler to school age. The kids all know the story and the actions and can tell you what comes next - a true children's classic! A must have for evey child's home library!

Great fun to read with young children as you build up the suspense. The family treks through the long grass, mud, river, snow, forest and on to find the bear cave. The rhythms and rhyme helps the kids to join in the story and we always read the account as they race back to their home through all the obstacles at top speed, so that we are breathless as well by the time the family is safe back at home. A great book for young children (and their parents).

What an absolute classic. I have never seen a child not enjoy this book. Follow a small family as they battle through grass, mud, streams and a snowstorm to hunt for a bear... and when they find a bear! Oh no! A classic, rhyming, repetitive book, the illustrations, alternating between black-and-white and colour are gorgeous! If you have a child aged two to five, buy this book and it will please for years to come.
