A simple story, with a highly visually aspect and an ending that leaves the reader to draw their own conclusions, this book is a firm favourite with my little ones. It's great, because they are always noticing new little details, and there is scope to direct the story in a number of directions, further enhancing its appeal and longevity. A must have for your home library.
Excellent book, with loads of discussions to be had over both the text and the wonderful pictures.
Brought it for my 3and a half your old, but my 5year old loves it just as much. It's a real most have!
Lots of Pamela Allen books manage to gently introduce scientific concepts in a way that makes it easy for children to understand. This book is no exception and opens the floodgates for discussions on the topic of density. Also a great picture book for smaller children, this book has a lot more content than originally meets the eye.
