this book has a very good rhythm that is great for children from about 2 years onwards as the rhyme in the book really helps with memory and gives them a sense of adventure they can use in day to day life.

Follow the family as they trek through the wilds in hunt for a bear! They're not scared! But what will happen when they actually do find a bear? You'll have to read this classic children's book to find out. It really is a brilliant little book, and a valuable addition to any children's story book collection.

My 22 month old daughter absolutely loves this book and even tells half the story as we read it so often. Great thick board book for toddlers fingers and great contrast between black and white pages and colour pages.

We bought this book for my 17-month old son because it was his favourite book at daycare. He does all the actions, and gets so excited when they find the bear. He also learned to say the phrases "oh no!" and "uh-oh!" from the book. Very educational and interactive.

Every home should have a copy of this beautifully illustrated adventure story. The rhythmic text is exciting and memorable, so don't be surprised if you find your children chanting it and creating their own bear hunts in their everyday play! The board book format makes for easy handling by the youngest reader and makes for a much treasured gift.

Delightful - already have it in paperback, but not good for 14month old grandson - board book perfect. Have loved the story since discovering it as Primary school teacher librarian. Children love the repetition etc.

This is one of the few books our little boy has loved on first reading. It's a fun story with entertaining sound effects and great opportunity for acting-out games as our little one gets bigger. We'd never heard of it until we saw it on the most popular list. It deserves it's place. Highly recommended to all parents of small people!

I used to sing this song with my children and wanted to carry on the tradition with my grandchildren but had forgotten some of the words. This is a great book to interact with children and it is a good size, strong cardboard and the illustrations are lovely.

Perfect... fun, upbeat and a family favourite. We love the characters and enjoy reading this one over and over. Although item was a little smaller than expected so make sure you check the size of the book before purchase.

The kids at kindy love this book. At the end of the story we all decided to look for a teddy bear to hug.
