THE TWITS BY ROALD DAHL
THIS BOOK BY ROALD DAHL IS EXCELLENT. IT IS A VERY FUNNY STORY FOR KIDS BETWEEN THE AGES 7-10. IT IS VERY FUNNY IN THE HE DESCRIBES THE CHARACTERS AND THE WAY HE MAKES THEM LOOK (QUENTIN BLAKE). I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK!!
Roald Dahl is and was a genius. I loved his books and still love to read them continually. The tale of the twits was so hilarious and funny. I loved the family of monkeys, and how they managed to get their own back at Mr and Mrs twit in the end. In some way Roald Dahls humour is kind of sadistic, but appelas to people of all ages, as a book they can always go back and have a few laughs at.
The horrible, disgusting Twits are some of Dahl's best characters, to the point where he can spend chapters describing Mrs Twits transformation into ugly, or the contents of Mr Twits beard. The roly-poly bird makes a grand entrance, as do the family of monkeys who get together to rid the world once and for all of the awful Mr and Mrs Twit.
wow what a fantastic book from roald dahl! i find his books to be really enjoyable, and would gladly read one right now, although i am on in my life! a good read for anyone, anywhere, this will keep you amused! one of the good things about this book is that it is not too long, so it is easy to read!
The combination of the story tellig skill of Roald Dahl, combined with the familiar illustration style and technique of Quentin Blake, makes this story a winner with the kids! They will love the cruel trick played on Mr and Mrs twit and will squirm at the gruesome, disgusting physical descriptions of the the couple. Mr Twits antics will make them laugh, and im sure you will enjoy this childrens book too!
