The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a classic children's picture story book - it is both educational and fun, with some stunningly simple yet striking illustrations that are gorgeous. It is a must-have story to read to your children - they will surely love you for getting them this book - guaranteed!

This is one of my daughter's very favourite books! She loves to cuddle up and go through the pages as we count the fruit and explore The Very Hungry Caterpillar's adventure as he grows into a beautiful butterfly! Definitely a timeless classic and a must for the bookshelf of any child (or adult!)

What a classic this book is! I remember this from when I was a child and it was one of the first books I brought for my son. He lovs it in it's simplicity. It incorporates learning colours, counting, days of the week and the life cycle of a caterpillar into a butterfly.

We bought this story on sale before our son was born and it was the first book he ever had read to him. We've now "upgraded" to a board book because the other paper copy was being loved to pieces. A classic every child should have. All hail the board book format.

This is a wonderful children's book, my son and I love reading all the different foods this little caterpillar eats and then we also count how many holes he has made. I would recommend this book to any parent wanting to read to their child.

this is a must for any child' bookshelf - lots of learning themes from counting, days of the week, healthy food, to the life cycle of a butterfly - my younger child also enjoys poking her little fingers through the holes that the caterpillar eats through each page...definetly worth buying!

Kids love this book, its a great story that once you learn it well you can tell the story without the book and let children use their imagination. It teaches days of the week, numbers and the caterpillar gets "fat" when it eats too much junk. A good multi-purpose book.

This is just one of those books from your child hood which you will never forget. I still have a copy of this book here at home, every now and then I flick through the pages. It tells the tale of what else...a very hungry caterpillar. It cleverly shows everything the caterpillar has eaten his way through by way of small holes though the pictures. In the end he turns into a beautiful butterfly....a happy ending to a great story. I recommend you get this for your kids!

One of my childhood favourites. The beauty about this book is that it is so easy for young children to learn. My 2 year old had it memorised after just a few times of reading it to her. The holes in the book give it a more realistic feel as the child believes the caterpillar is actually eating through it! I highly recommend this book to any parent with young children.
