Where is the Green Sheep is a great tool for teaching basic reading skills. It has great predictability and enough illustrations to help the budding reader along. The young child can easily "read" this book to others or by themselves.

Simple, bright illustrations by the very talented Judy Horacek and simple rhythms and words in the text make this a great book for young children. My 2 year old loves to join in with the chorus of "where is the green sheep" and is learning many of the descriptions throughout the book - colours, near/far, bath/bed, moon/star. Although it will become repetitive for the adult reader, children will enjoy it.

This book is completely overrated. It's a direct copy of similar children's picture books over the years, most notably 'Where is the Green Parrot?' Couldn't the author have even changed the colour? Anyway, there are many better childrens' picture books to choose from rather than rewarding this author's plagerism. There are so many children's books, you'll have no trouble finding a better one.

Where is the green sheep is a great book with bright simple illustrations. It is a book that my child loves but I don’t as much for I have read it at least 50 times already. It is good for teaching colours and descriptive words such as near and far.

My kids love this book!
That should really say it all! The story is simple and kids can guess what is coming next from the fabulous illustrations. The book is great for beginning readers and for a read aloud book for babies and small children. It is easy to talk about colour, where sheep are and what they are doing because of the story line and the colourful and fun illustrations. My kids would be happy for me to read this again and again. I enjoy it too!
