Jack visits his grandmother and amongst the many games they play, they make potato people. Long after Jack has gone home, his grandmother plants the 'people' in her yard. Eventually a sprout shoots about the ground and a potato plant grows. When Jack returns to visit his grandmother they play their games then they harvest the potatoes and make another potato man and potato women. A fun book about spending time with grandparents, how plants grow and the picture is detailed enough that children can make their own potato people, just like Jacks.
