Now in paperback--the spine-tingling sequel to "The Wee Free Men" from the Carnegie Medalist and author of the bestselling Discworld series. Tiffany Aching is off to begin her apprenticeship in magic, but she's being followed by an insidious presence.
From The Publisher:
Something is coming after Tiffany ...
Tiffany Aching is ready to begin her apprenticeship in magic. She expects spells and magic -- not chores and ill-tempered nanny goats! Surely there must be more to witchcraft than this!
What Tiffany doesn't know is that an insidious, disembodied creature is pursuing her. This time, neither Mistress Weatherwax (the greatest witch in the world) nor the fierce, six-inch-high Wee Free Men can protect her. In the end, it will take all of Tiffany's inner strength to save herself ... if it can be done at all.

A fantastical second outing for Tiffany, a real feel-good story and satisfying read, with the welcome addition of Granny Weatherwax. Fabulous for younger readers, and us older ones too! A must for Discworld fans, it's a refreshing new view in familiar surroundings. Can't wait to read the next installment of Tiffany's adventures!
Whilst this particular story seems to be generally aimed at the younger readers, it is certainly a story that even older readers can appreciate. As with all of Pratchett's books, you can expect a fun and funny story that will certainly make you smile. The witches are in fine form in this book!
Tiffany's learning witching - however, so far she's very bad at it. Brooms make her feel ill, she can't make a shamble, she hates trawling round the cottages helping stupid people, and an ancient, unkillable monster is after her. And that's without the Nac Mac Feegle, who have followed her away....and it isn't to do the housework for milk, either.
Tiffany is a wonderful addition to the Discworld witches, as I am becoming increasingly certain that eventually she will replace Granny as the not leader of all of them, I love reading about her! She is smart, sincere, and always has an ace up her sleeve - the Nac Mac Feegles. In this book, she is apprenticed to an eccentric witch with two bodies (wrap your head around that one!) in a house with a resident poltergiest - only this one is anal compulsive and puts everything away for you! Highly enjoyable, and not just for kids!
Another great Pratchett book! Didnt enjoy this one quite as much as the first as this book is more focused on Tiffany than the wee free men, but it still was action packed and filled with moments of hilarity. Any story with the Wee Free Men in it is bound to be a good one - they have the personalities of giants!
The second in a sequel we are again dealing with the wee free men who are pixies that are like little scottish men. this was the first book of the two that I read but this is basically a stand alone but by the end I went looking for the other as this is great. very accessible for a terry prachett and is great for teenagers. dealing with a girl that is read with a frying pan to get herself out of trouble.
