The Pirates of Pompeii is my favourite Roman Mystery! Flavia, Jonathan, Nubia and Lupus go the the Villa Limona and get caught by slavers. It has a very dramatic beginning, with Jonathan almost dying, and this drama doesn't stop until the very end, when they go back to Ostia. This is the best book from a totally wicked series, and I recommend it to anyone.

The volcano has erupted and the devistation after is dreadful. Flavia and her friends are helping where they can. Nubia and her tutor play their tunes on their instraments to cheer people up. But trouble is far from over children are going missing and not seen again and the group of friends plan to find out but have they bitten off more than they can chew as they drift more and more apart!
