To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fate of two tribes hangs. Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life - first discovered in TWILIGHT, then scattered and torn in NEW MOON and ECLIPSE - seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed...forever?
Reviews
'The sexiest vampire tale for years arrived in Stephenie Meyer's TWILIGHT, about teenage Bella's chaste romance with a beautiful vampire boy. Their intensely erotic feelings are endangered by more predatory types. Guaranteed to suck in sulky 13+ girls for hours.' The Times "Will keep readers madly flipping the pages of Meyer's tantalizing debut." Publishers Weekly
About the Author
Stephenie Meyer graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English Literature and lives with her husband and three young sons in Arizona. She is the author of TWILIGHT and NEW MOON.
A most disappointing end to a wonderful series. In an effort to reach that happily ever after Meyer has sacrificed all of the delicious Gothic overtones that made the first three books such a wonderful read. Not even Disney could come up with such a saccharine empty ending. Bella is faced with a mountain of difficult decisions and gets an easy answer to everyone. She makes no sacrifice, nothing to deserve the vanilla happiness she achieves. The most disappointing aspect for me was the way that Jacob's character was gutted of all fire and energy. Relegated as a mere lap dog, when previously he'd represented such passionate humanity.
Awful. And I'm sad to say it.
This is the best book out of all four. It has the Romance, Conflict and Drama all in one book. Edward and Bella are finally happy when everything goes wrong. Sounds a lot like Home and Away to me, Drama's around every corner. But if you try to get through the first book this series is quite addictive. I read all four books over the span of two days.
It is defiantly based for Teenagers.
I have heard that 'The Host' is more aimed for Adults and is a Alien/Romance Book, next one on my list.
Also, I have read these books four times and it doesn't get boring. Money well spent.
A lot of people didn't like the final instalment of the series, i personally loved it. Everyone should lay off Stephenie Meyer, with out her the series would not exist. Some were bound to disagree with her ideas but i'ts her world like it or not the books are all amazing. Buy this book and decide for your self.
Highly dissapointed with the end of this series. Enjoyed the first few chapters then found it difficult to get through the rest of the book. Loved the other books in the series. Sorry but Meyers really rushed this one and could have done it so much better!
This is definitely the BEST book in the Twilight Series... If you don't buy it, you are seriously insane.
But, If you LOVE the Twilight series, you will adore this book. It is a really good finale to the series.
This the final book gripped me right from the start like the other three, but towards the end I found it lacking in its intensiveness....
Jacobs story was fantastic and held me in place more than Edwards. Edward seemed to lose what he had in the other three books and at times even Bella annoyed me.
The entire series is fantastic and I can only hope that Stephainie Meyers finishes Edwards story (even though we know what happens) for this so far was a fantastic read (Go to her website and read the draft for youself).
I would love to read further as the ending left me wanting more....
This book was definitely the worst in the series. It borders on the ridiclous and the absurdity of it has actually turned me off the Twilight saga. Very disappointing - i really don't know what Stephanie Meyers was thinking.

So you've just finished reading New Moon and looking for more exciting authors/series. For those who loved the Twilight series let me make some recommendations;
Scott Westerfeld Midnighter's series - start with "The Secret Hour"
Meg Cabot - 1800-whereareyou-series - start with "When lightening strikes"
Meg Cabot - Mediator series - start with "I love you to death"
For something dark and different try Gena Showalter's "Oh My Goth"
or MaryJanice Davidson's "Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace"
